The Curb app
Curb is offline-first. No Curb server is contacted to block or open apps.
The app does not collect your identity, the identities of selected apps or websites, app-level usage, content, browsing activity, or location. Curb does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Screen Time selections
App and website selections are made with Apple’s Screen Time controls. Apple provides those selections to Curb as opaque values. Curb stores the values locally so it can apply the choices you made, but it cannot use them to create a readable list of the apps or websites you selected.
Information stored on your devices
Modes, schedules, settings, current state, emergency-unlock records, and your Curb activity record are stored locally in the app’s shared container. This information is used to provide app functionality and is not sent to Curb.
Narrow emergency-unlock continuity may use Apple’s iCloud key-value storage under your Apple ID. Curb does not create an account or operate a server for this synchronization.
Diagnostics
Curb relies only on diagnostic information Apple may provide to developers when users have chosen to share diagnostics with Apple. No activity record or Screen Time selection is attached to those diagnostics by Curb.
This website
This website does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, account cookies, or contact forms. Like other websites, its hosting and network providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, and request time to deliver and secure the site.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use it to respond to your request and maintain support records. Do not include sensitive personal information that is not needed to resolve the issue.
Your choices
You can remove locally stored Curb information by deleting the app. Information synchronized through iCloud is controlled through your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Support correspondence can be addressed by contacting us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
